[foxes] man this sucks.
Today has been 40-60 I suppose. The bad side is winning if only because it's a Money Issue and I hate those.

I woke up this morning to my back gums swollen so bad they were getting in the way of my tongue, softened, and hurtful to the touch -------- right where my wisdom teeth are. I guess they're finally coming in. They don't hurt so much, but they brought a friend named Migraine to play today somehow because of it, and I was displeased at getting picked on in the recess yard. I already know they're impacted, I previously discussed with the dentist that they'd need to be cut out eventually. I just didn't expect them to come in TODAY of all days. And I don't have the $800 or $400 or $10,000,000 or whatever the cost was that they estimated to get them removed right now. I'll have to suffer.

On the brightside I found out I'm getting paid a 10$ premium rate at the art store to work on Sundays, and an 8$ normal rate to work during the week (currently that is on-call only if they need me, later on I'll be working during the week perm probably). Also, I get a 40% discount on anything in the store, which ranges from Micron pens to Copic markers to paints and sketchbooks to scrapbooking supplies. If I can manage to pull in between 8$ and 10$ doing transcriptions, that will be even better. Still a bad time for my wisdom teeth to decide to come in, though.

Well, at least I still have a while before they fully come in and such. It doesn't matter when I get them out so much, as long as I do it before they fully graft to my jaw bone. Otherwise they'll be a bitch to get out. :(

[anime] nyah~
I got my computer back. Sort of. Uh. .... yeah.

I just got off work, and my feet are killing me, but that's okay. I discovered an advantage to working at McDonald's (go ahead and laugh), and that's the fact that at the end of the night whatever we don't sell I can take a portion of and take it to my feral pack behind Walgreen's (the one Sanka was from if any of you care to remember, he was my black cat I had to bury). They have new kittens, and being feral born they'll let me approach them within about three feet, but they won't come to me, nor will they tolerate me coming closer. I know better than to push it, so usually I talk to them while I lay the food out for them. One of the babies is a calico; I must say I am smitten but unfortunately I cannot take anymore cats (this would technically make my fifth cat if I took it home with me, as I have ended up halfway adopting Scoot from my next door neighbor).

Speaking of Scoot, he is such a sweetheart. He is a tiny black cat that belongs to Jimmy, my Dad's best friend, also my next door neighbor. Scoot is waiting for me every night when I get off work, and if I stop to smoke a cigarette on the driveway curb he sits next to me. He is usually already running down the sidewalk by the time I park the car and get out, and if he were able to make the jump he'd probably jump right up into my arms.

Well, anyway. Despite being a little bit ratty looking, my pack seems to be doing okay. The thinner coats come from not having daily nutritional food (did you know if you scramble up a raw egg and give it to your cat, not only do they love it but it helps keep their coat thick and shiny? no more than once or twice a month, though!), and on that note I should probably pick them up some canned food since I'll be getting a paycheck tomorrow. They'll eat canned food quicker, and it goes down easier, and there won't be any left out to get soggy or infested with ants. It's a win-win situation.

I still need to get a proper headcount, because I usually come at night and they all hide in the grass or behind the fence, but I know there's at LEAST seven that I saw tonight (but actually definitely more than that in reality). At least three kittens, quite a few adults (at least five), and at least two or three juveniles. That's.. about ten or so for a minimum. At least when I get a good headcount I'll know how much food to buy.

.. anyway. I'm sure nobody cares to read about my involvement with the animal kingdom, so. x)

Still trying to get my foot in the door at the vet's office! It will happen, because I will make it happen. Unfortunately I had the perfect chance to get on at San Juan Animal Hospital, even if it's a bit a ways from my house, but I was in my summer semester at the time they were doing immediate hiring and they said I had to be out of school. Surprising, because I thought they would've liked the fact I was in school, but I guess they want someone with full availability.
