because kofi reminded me of some of the more amusing conversations I've had with my mother. oh, mother dearest.

basically she came into my room one morning and sat on the edge of my bed while i was still trying to convince my body it WANTED to get out of bed, really it did, look at the sunshine coming in through the window, and---

Mom: Are you strange?
Me: ::Knows EXACTLY what her mom is referring to however--:: Strange how? ::Dryly.::
Mom: Like your friends.
Me: They're strange for lots of reasons, you're going to have to be more specific than that.
Mom: Strange like.. homosexual.
Me: No. Of course not.
Mom: Are you sure?
Me: I'm sure. Don't worry, mom, I like guys.
Mom: Oh okay.
Me: I just like girls, too.

GOOD THING SHE ONLY KNOWS MOST OF MY FRIENDS ARE GAY and doesn't know about all the girls wanting/planning to be guys and all the guys wanting/planning to be girls and then the ones that ARE ALREADY THERE because I think anything transgender would just make her brain explode.
