Since someone was asking about these things earlier...

If you have trouble with dark circles under your eyes, use slices of cucumber or used tea bags to help. When you brew tea, put the teabags in a bag in the fridge for a while and then letting them rest on your eyes the same way you would cucumber slices. More info: Causes of Dark Circles.

Never rub your face dry, always pat it dry. You'll avoid causing unnecessary wrinkles and damaging your skin.

Moisturize!

Hair breaks easily, so try not scrub it dry with a towel - squeeze it / pat it dry instead, but don't twist it roughly, either. Comb your hair when it's at least mostly dry; wet hair breaks much more easily than dry hair.

[info]wreeth uses a honey and sugar scrub for her face; try it as an exfoliator if normal face washes are harsh on your skin. Mix honey with half the amount of granulated sugar and massage your face with it before rinsing.

Scrambled egg whites (no yolks!) is a good face mask after washing / exfoliating for closing pores on your face. Has the same advantage as the honey-sugar scrub as being entirely organic and less likely to cause irritation with synthetic ingredients.

Steamy showers aren't necessarily good for your skin -- and showering in hot water longer than 15 minutes can rob your skin of essential oils and lead to dryness and flaking. If you already have dry skin, you're just making it worse.

If shaving irritates your skin, try shaving after a warm bath or shower or applying a warm, damp rag to the areas you need to shave first. This will open your pores and soften the hairs for easier shaving. Don't use a lotion with alcohols (ethyl, isopropyl) in it after you shave; they'll evaporate too quickly and dry out your skin and irritate it worse.

Warm compresses also make plucking easier.

If you use mouthwash but can't stand the burn when swishing, look for an alcohol-free mouthwash. Oral B and Crest make mouthwashes without alcohol, and I'm sure there are several others if you just check. You can also dilute mouthwash with water to decrease the burn, if you can't find alcohol-free mouthwash.

Ginger is good for stomach problems and queasiness; your mum knew what she was doing if she ever gave you ginger ale when you were sick. Ginger can also stimulate appetite.

.. that's all I can think of off the top of my head for now.
