Sculptured Space

I've shared artists with my friends before, but I thought this year I'd start doing monthly recommendations to help pimp out some of my favorite artists around the internet. I'm more than pleased to start with Shellie -- also widely known as Mikel, a popular moderator in the Kingdom of Loathing community -- a young art student overflowing with talent. Not only is Shellie a pleasure to speak to, with a friendly, humorous personality, but I thoroughly enjoy her art, as well. She combines an abstract, stylized form with softness, grace, and beauty, and all the right lines and emphasis to make every piece fluid and a joy to look at. There's a certain serenity to be found in the shapes and images she makes, and I know I've found more than one piece I'd like on my wall or decorating my journals.
